Today's government is viewed as politics and only that. In the TED Talk she talks about how our government is more than that. It's citizenship and bureaucracy and everything far out and in between. Our government is about the people and we see it as being about the political figures. Citizenship is becoming stronger with the apps she was talking about such as Citizens Connect- an open and public internet server that you can post about anything local and it connects people to create a stronger sense of citizenship which is important in today's age with our generation growing up.
Our generation is very vocal about our opinions and solutions with national problems but we don't do enough action. We are about our voices and not our hands. We need to take our problems and do something about them. Talk to people in the government who are supposed to be representing us, the people. We have voice and it is heard but we only raise awareness of the problem instead of taking our solutions and acting on them. Our government is a vast ocean of possibility and it can easily help connect people since one governmental problem is every American's problem. We are one. We are the government, we just take that for granted.
