This week a big topic in class has been shared leadership. To me, shared leadership is important because it's vital to share the responsibilities of being a leader. It can be stressful and very difficult to be the leader of a group or anything by yourself because you as a one owns up to all the responsibilities and if something goes wrong it's only on you even if the problem has nothing to do with you. An example of that is in business class we watch The Apprentice with Donald Trump and a contestant named Kwame was in the finals and he had to manage a Britney Spears concert and he hired a past contestant named Omarosa and he delegated the job of Britney's travels with her and Omarosa ended up losing her luggage and didn't get a limo driver to the airport in time. That mistake was made by Omarosa but with Kwame being the leader he didn't win the challenge mainly because of that mistake. This week we also picked new books to read and there are some interesting options. Personally, I'm not a fan of being forced to read books and it makes it even more difficult for me to get fully immersed into the book and the story it's telling. The last books we had to read and do the BQ paper on was very hard for me to get into but I forced myself to read through the book and work hard to get my grade up in this class. I finished with a C in the first marking period and all A's in my other classes so this class is definitely my hardest personally. I think that's mainly because I don't see myself as an english student.
